We all know about the oohs and ahhhs that a beautifully done gallery wall can inspire. But how can you hang one successfully, not to mention easily and quickly?
When we started selling gallery walls, our design team wondered, “Wouldn’t it be great if there was an easy template that told us exactly what to do?” So we created just that. Our expertly curated gallery walls come with a life-size hanging guide and hardware, making the process truly easy. From start to finish, it should only take you about 10 minutes! Here’s how to use a Framebridge hanging guide:
Step 1: Tape your hanging guide on the wall that you want to hang your gallery wall.
The outline of the frames show exactly where the frames will hang, so be deliberate about choosing the perfect spot. You can hold your frames up against the outline to see for yourself!
Affix the hanging guide to your wall with painter’s tape (it comes off easily and will never peel your paint). Start by placing a piece of tape at the top center of the guide, followed by a few pieces along the top left and right of the guide.
Step 2: Level and smooth the hanging guide.
If you have one, use a level to align your guide with the top of a frame outline. Adjust your tape until the line is level. It’s ok if you don’t have a level–just take a few steps back to eyeball the height of your guide. Next, smooth and tape the rest of the guide into place.
Step 3: Grab a hammer and your Framebridge hardware.
Each Framebridge gallery wall comes with the proper hanging hardware—no digging through the toolbox! There are small x's on the hanging guide that mark the spots where you’ll place your nails. Hammer one securely into each x.
Step 4: Gently tear away the hanging guide.
As you pull off the paper, the nails will stay right where they are. So easy!
Step 5: Hang your frames!
Now the nails are good to go, which means you're good to hang your frames.
Gently place each one on the center of each nail. When complete, they may need a little tweaking and adjusting to get them all lined up. Now step back and admire your beautiful gallery wall. How easy was that?
