Artists of Framebridge: Taryn Harris
Taryn’s paintings are dramatic and surreal. She disliked art until college when she finally had compelling art teachers. Now, she’s booking shows and continuing to hone her skills.
“This piece came together over the period of a year,” Taryn said. “It represents that people have many different faces. You can show one face but have so many emotions to the side and behind you.”
Taryn is inspired by James Jean and Kerry James Marshall, but she also tries to find inspiration in life’s smaller moments. “I try to make finding inspiration a daily thing,” she said. “Rather than finding it in one thing or looking for something to give it to me.”
